The artist managed to once again claim her spot as one of the most notable powers in the Latin music industry, taking home two awards in the Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Female and Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Female categories. In addition, she delivered a dazzling live performance, taking fans on a flight that toured some of the most popular songs from her latest album ‘KG0516,’ including “Tusa,” “Bichota,” “Ay DiOs Mio!“ and “El Makinon.”
Karol G undoubtedly managed to raise the energy of the ceremony to a transcendental level. Not only by presenting a mix of songs that have really impacted the music industry in the last year, but also leaving all of her talent and charisma on stage, accompanied by lights, special effects and captivating choreography. The performance definitely further connected her with her fans, making it one of the most memorable moments of the night.
Karol G was also garnering new achievements for her career in the past week. The artist participated in one of Latin Music Week’s most important events. She was the main artist on The Superstar Q&A panel, where she sat down with the Vice President of Billboard Latin, Leila Cobo, to talk about her experiences in the music industry, her challenges, music and next projects. To add to the successful week, she caused an incredible impact on Tuesday, when she released “SEJODIOTO” by surprise. The song conquered digital streaming platforms accumulating more than XX million combined streams and taking over the cover of prestigious playlists such as Apple Music’s “Dale Reggaeton” and Spotify’s “Baila Reggaeton.” As if that was not enough, the music video trended globally, quickly grossing more than 5.3 million views.
