The new Lincoln Corsair, the luxury brand’s youngest and most avant-garde state-of-the-art, makes its debut in Puerto Rico with a plug-in hybrid version, the Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring, and Lincoln Corsair Standard and Reserve versions, with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine; both with new design from the inside out, exceptional comfort and innovative technologies for connectivity and driver assistance.
Corsair, whose origin comes from the word cursus, which means “journey”, reflects the identity that this SUV possesses, as its name was chosen to charm younger customers looking for a sportier design with functional technology and unique experiences that channel their sense of discovery.
The Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring’s hybrid powertrain consists of a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder gas engine and a permanent-magnet synchronous motor with an expected combined power output of 266 horsepower, as estimated by Lincoln using computer engineering simulations. This configuration of hybrid technology combined with electric four-wheel drive has an EPA-estimated all-electric range of up to 28 miles.1
The Corsair Grand Touring grille features a sundown satin metallic foil with blue accents that give a warmer tone and harmonize resplendently, one of the defining features of the hybrid version. Coupled with new, available wheel options that enhance personalization, the new Corsair boasts a sleek, modern exterior look.
The Standard and Reserve versions have a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine that delivers up to 250 horsepower, and an 8-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission.
Drivers can customize their Lincoln Corsair with Lincoln’s signature drive modes: Normal, Excite, Slippery and Conserve. In addition, two new drive modes enhance the plug-in hybrid driving experience:
- Preserve EV: saves the battery power while continuing to use both electric and gas engines.
- Pure EV: designed to keep the driver in all-electric mode in many conditions. The hybrid engine seamlessly engages to provide additional power if needed.
Refined technology and interior redesign
Lincoln Corsair integrates the Lincoln Co-Pilot360™ 2.1 advanced driver assistance technologies platform, which offers 360° camera, Active Park Assist, Automatic Reverse Brake Assist, Blind Spot Information System and Cross Traffic Alert, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping System, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Collision Mitigation System, among many other functions that create a simple and safe driving experience to enjoy the most important thing, the trip.
The center stack screen is 13.2 inches and features SYNC®4 technology and Lincoln Enhance2 software updates. The driver’s LCD cluster is 12.3-inch and comes with the Lincoln-unique Constellation digital interface.
A streamlined lower instrument cluster below the center stack screen creates a spacious front row, making placing and accessing items effortless. A new available backlit applique shines light through a perforated star light pattern, providing Lincoln’s signature constellation effect.
Well-being is a fundamental pillar of the Quiet Flight DNA of the Lincoln brand and Lincoln Corsair is no exception, which is why it offers Auto Air Refresh, a function designed to constantly bring fresh air into the vehicle, combining a laser sensor with a filter thus ensuring that passengers are receiving high quality air from outside and fresh air inside the vehicle. This feature is activated the moment the vehicle is started and can refresh the air up to 1.5 times per minute.
Meanwhile, an enhanced interior places an emphasis on the brand’s horizontal, signature design, which projects great spaciousness and tranquility, maximized by the Vista Roof® panoramic roof.
In addition, to grant maximum comfort, it has 10 positions for the passenger seat and 8 positions for the passenger seat, with cooling and heating options.
A special feature that sets the Lincoln Corsair apart within its segment is that the seats are designed to adapt to the conditions of the journey, allowing the second row to be slid back or forward nearly six inches to provide more space for passengers or to expand the trunk with just pushing a button, offering one of the best storage spaces in the segment.
Moreover, its Premium Revel by Harman audio system with 14 speakers guarantees an acoustic experience that recreates an authentic auditorium environment.
The new Lincoln Corsair is now available at the brand’s exclusive dealership in Puerto Rico, San Juan Lincoln, located on Kennedy Avenue.
1 Calculated via combined performance of the engine and electric motor(s) with peak battery power. The calculations utilize SAE J1349® engine results and Ford electric motor dyno testing. Results may vary.
